Julius moved fast. Before Andi knew what was happening, she had been dressed in a wedding gown and brought to a private chapel on the mansion's grounds, where Julius was waiting for her, dressed in a fine suit.
When they exchanged their wedding vows, the Duke placed a clearly expensive ring on Andi's finger, then kissed her gently. He wasn't a very good kisser, but Andi preferred it over how harsh Rycksyn had been. And so, Andi became Duchess Andi, and Penelope legally became the Duke's daughter.
Julius was unattractive, but made up for it in manners and kindness. Andi had never experienced such horrible kissing and sex before, but she didn't care. Julius was a gentleman the entire time. He was also so sweet with Penelope, though the girl spent much of her day with her minotaur nanny.
It didn't take long before Andi's fertility kicked in. Three months after Andi became a Duchess, she was heavily pregnant. Fauns like satyrs had short gestation periods, so she would be providing Julius soon with the children he so desperately desired. She surely carried at least two, but just how many, she didn't know. She would have to wait for the birth to find out.
