Andi glided into the sitting room, carrying with her Penelope, who had just celebrated her first birthday. The little satyress was a bubbly, happy girl, who would surely be a beautiful woman one day. The others in the sitting room, her mate Julius and their guests Count Davut and Countess Dara, watched her stride in like the proper lady she was. Andi wore an elegant blue gown that brought out her eyes and clung to her generous curves and large baby bump.
"I apologize for taking so long to fetch Lady Penelope," she said calmly. She gracefully took a seat next to Julius. Julius kissed her on the cheek. Andi ignored him, merely smiling at the Count and Countess. After a year of lessons, Andi had become a proper lady, the kind that would attract many suitors. Her manners were impeccable, she moved with the languid grace of a dancer, and she had learned how to improve her appearance elegantly. She wore only clothing and colors that complimented her, grew her hair long in gentle waves, and even wore makeup. Not enough to be visible, as that was trashy, but just enough to accentuate her already lovely face.
"This is the girl you think would be a good match for our Dove?" asked Countess Dara. Countess Dara was a rare satyress, and desired a similar mate for her child, despite her child having many human traits from his human father, Count Davut. Andi and Julius nodded. "Dove will only be matched with a child that has satyr blood, I'm afraid."
"Ah, but my darling Penelope does have that," Julius said. "My lovely wife was mated to a satyr before me. The satyr, an unkind man, sired Penelope. He mistreated Penelope and Andi, which led them to me. I have taken Penelope in as my own legally, conferring upon her a title as befits my child. But by blood, she is satyr, not faun."
"I see..." Countess Dara murmured.
"Let us see if they play well together," Count Davut suggested. Andi set down Penelope, and Countess Dara set down Dove. Dove was an adorable little boy, who looked completely human aside from his tiny goat's tail and horns. The two looked at each other and immediately toddled over to meet. Andi smiled at Julius as Penelope charmed Dove, the two playing together like old friends within seconds. "Hmm." Count Davut turned to his wife. "My love?"
"I think this is a good match," Countess Dara declared. "It is difficult to find a girl of satyr blood, let alone one noble. And they will clearly be happy as a pair." The Countess and Count stood up, revealing that, like Andi, Countess Dara was pregnant. Dove hurried back to his parents. Count Davut picked him up. "We will send over the appropriate paperwork. Once they are both of age, they will wed."
Andi and Julius saw their guests to the door. Once the Count and Countess were gone, Julius embraced Andi.
"We have done well, my love! Penelope is but the first of many offspring who will bring great honor, respect, and renown to our family."
"Yes, I agree," Andi said. After her schooling, she had decided that her goals were aligned with Julius: to produce children that would provide some benefit to them, whether through marriage or labor. Penelope in her arms pawed at her milk-filled breasts. Andi snapped her fingers. The minotaur wet nurse Pear hurried over and began to nurse Penelope. Andi held out her arm. Julius took it. "Let us stroll through the gardens and think of other families that we can pair our children with. These triplets are all female, after all." This was after a second twin pregnancy where both children were male.
"An excellent idea, my love."
