Oscar walked up the stairs to the master bedroom before sitting on the bed, downstairs Rose could tell what he was doing even if she didn’t have her super human hearing, he always followed the same basic order every day after work. He would take off his belt, kick off his work boots before heading toward the attached bathroom to take a shower. Rose knew that not only because she could hear it but because he followed that pattern almost every day after work. His factory maintenance work was a very well paying job but it was a dirty job, she always washed his work cloths separately because of all the oil and grim that got on it.
She sat at the kitchen table considering her next move as she heard her husband start the shower upstairs.
“Well might as well go rip the band aid off.” stated Rose as she stood up and stretched for a moment before following her husband upstairs. She walked into their bedroom and paused for a moment as she remembered all the memories on display in the photos and the more private memories that came from her and her husband’s time in this room.
Part of her wondered if this whole being recalled meant they would never come back to this place, to their home. That would be hard but as long as they where together as a family that is all that mattered.
Rose paused as she locked the bedroom door before heading toward the bathroom, the sound of the rushing water, as she moved toward the door she slipped out of her cloths. She knocked on the bathroom door before walking in.
“Mind if I join you?” purred Rose as she heard a slight pause.
“Of course.” Said Oscar back.
Their love life was far from being dead but still getting surprised in the shower was a rare treat.
Rose stepped into the shower letting the water cover both of them.
“What do I owe this great gift for?” inquired Oscar with a smile as he placed his hands on his wife’s hips.
“I don’t need a reason to give a gift to my husband and mate.” Purred Rose but her voice sounded more animal like then normal, that caused Oscar’s eyebrow to rise. “However you are right, I do have a reason. I have a secret to let you know…I am not human.”
“Not human?” inquired Oscar thinking it was some kind of joke.
Then before his eyes his wife grew a couple of inches, her black hair still remained the same, even styled the same aside from being wet now. However her skin was now covered with fur, tan orange fur mostly with white running down her chest and over her breasts which had grown slightly as well. Black spots appeared as well along with black marks around her eyes in the classic cheetah pattern. A long tail grew out of her spin as her fur instantly got covered in water from the shower.
“I am a were-cheetah.” Answered Rose with a smile as she awaited her husband’s reaction.
