The Magic Shop

Given the Slip!

added 17 years ago A AR O

Lina waits, and waits, and waits, but Ian does not come "right back". Fact of the matter is, he doesn't come back at all.

"Damn it," Lina mutters as she runs along the floor following the sounds of Amy's dancing. She catches up to the now young girl, who is at most three years old, possibly younger and dancing without abandon in the aisles. She's grown too small for her shirt, and now dances around completely naked, her hooves clomping noisily on the floor.

"C'mon, Amy, let's at least try to get you fixed. I'm stuck for a while myself." She sighs, with a deep tone of regret and resignation.

"Nuh-uh! No fix!" Amy suddenly stops dancing, and stomps her hooves angrily.

"What? Amy, come on!"

"No fix!" Is all she'll say.

"You can't mean that. How can you be happy like that?"

"Like this!" Amy chirps, suddenly chipper, and brings her panflute to her lips, playing a cheery, upbeat song that is really well-played despite her age, since it's now in her nature to play perfectly.

Lina's mood picks up, as the tune is infectious in its happiness inducing. Of course, this will most likely wear off over time. "Oh, I get it. Yeah, I guess it's not so bad. So do you want to go home now?"
