You feel yourself sinking into the water and at first you almost wanted to stay there, to let the water take you forever. You had just lost your girlfriend to some lifeguard whom she had only met that morning so maybe she never really care about you. Maybe she was only after your money, you did have that, was she really that shallow of a person? She didn’t seam like it.
Finally, the need to live took over from your depression as you began to swim toward the surface. You where inches away from the surface when you felt something grab your leg.
You spun around expecting to see some seaweed or the like but instead there was a thick tentacle wrapped around one of your legs. That tentacle had to be at least 6 to 8 inches wide, and it went down into the darkness.
“Fuck.” It was all you could mumble in the water as you attempted to swim away, to break it’s grip but it was too strong as it pulled you down.
You felt another tentacle wrapped around your other leg. Then one around your waist while two more shots for your arms. Before you knew it you were wrapped up in the strong sea monster’s grip.
The lack of air was getting to you as you began to pass out, your struggling lessened as your body prepared to accept death.
Then suddenly one of the tentacles opened your jaw before another one shot down your throat. You expected to be ripped in half only to suddenly feel like you had been filled with some kind of liquid that filled your lungs.
The tentacle pulled out as you cough the strange liquid.
“Good…that should allow you to breath now.” Said a voice within your head.
“What?” you say however you were speaking and breathing underwater. “What is happening? Who are you?”
“I am the guardian of the door between the world of merfolk and the world of humans.” Stated the voice as the outline of a giant octopus larger then a city bus seemed to appear in the darkness. “You have entered the doorway, prepare to go through and never return.”
“What?” you asked confused.
“Let’s see what I have to work with.” said the octopus as he, she, it? Begin to turn you around in the water like an artist looking over a piece of marble before deciding what to carve. As it did it removed your clothes leaving you nude as it's giant eyes looked you over from every point of view.
“I have had better humans.” stated the octopus's voice in your mind. “But I have had worse as well, let’s begin.”
