Jennifer suddenly heard a loud siren and saw flashing lights in her mirror. "Oh, great!" she shouted into the wind rushing her fur. "Just what I need!"
Once on the side of the road, the cop slowly walked up to her door. He paused to examine her strange body. "Nice coat you got there," he said.
"Thank you," Jennifer bleated. "It's all natural."
"You know how fast you were going?"
"No, sir," she replied as sweetly as she could. "I was just trying to find the button to put up the roof. All this wool was driving me crazy."
"Well, the next time you have to take your eyes off the road, think about pulling over first," he said coldly. "I'll let you off with a warning, but don't think it'll be that easy next time."
He returned to his car and Jennifer shot a look down at her rapidly growing wool before searching the dash. She finally found the top control and, once the wind was no longer a concern, slowly pulled back onto the road. The cop followed her for a few blocks, then turned down another street, at which point Jennifer floored it once again.
"Go ahead," she taunted to any cop that might be along the route. "Give me a ticket. I've got the money to pay for it."
She reached Claire's house shortly, with quite a heavy load of wool hanging from her body. She looked more like a bale of hay than a person. She trudged up to the front door and rang the bell, prepared to T or D Claire the instant she opened the door.
