Jen eventually shook off the feeling as her thoughts turned to her next course of action. She could see the possibilities with this route, and while not all of them were very appealing, they weer all much better than some of the alternatives. And so she threw herself into a morning exercise routine she didn't know she had, ate a hearty, protein rich breakfast, and went to school. Now back in eighth grade, school was still insanely easy. The only times she was actively thinking about what she was doing was when she was exercising during her free period, P.E, and part of lunch. Her routines were far more rigorous than yesterday, but they were no more difficult than those had been. She was clearly getting much stronger. When the rather uneventful day ended, she found that she was the star player on both the girls basketball and track teams. She was the track teams captain, and it was clear she was next in line for the other. She finally left the school feeling quite satisfied with herself, this life may be different, but it certainly wasn't bad. As she got home she saw the mail had come in. Among the usual suspects of bills and junk mail, an ad caught her eye. "Premium memberships 50% off at Westside gym! The best place to make that new year's resolution reality!" Jen could feel herself on the edge of a life altering change. If she looked into this she could wake up looking very different. But would that be a bad thing? So would she leave it be, or ask her mom to sign up?
