Ty got up and opened the door. June was there, back to her normal self. "I finished," said June, "and transformed back to human form."
"Thanks for letting me know, Mom," Ty said. "Now that we know it works, I guess you can do that whenever you like.
"Oh," he said. "To do it on your own, you'll need to be able to start yourself." He concentrated for a second, then told June, "I've given you the ability to start yourself, when in dryer form, and to control all of your settings, if you want."
"Thank you, Ty," June said. "That's a great addition. Though I did really umm... enjoy... your pressing my 'start' button."
Ty blushed.
"But there's a bit of an issue," June said.
"What?" Ty asked. "Didn't it work right? You're OK, aren't you? Is something wrong with the clothes?"
"I'm sure you can resolve this," June said, "but why don't you follow me back down to the laundry room."
Ty followed her, and when they entered the laundry room, Ty noticed the clothes dryer was missing. He looked at June, puzzled.
"Ty," she said, "somehow, I'm still the clothes dryer. I don't know exactly where, but I still feel warm clothes inside me. It actually feels quite nice, but I think you're going to have to transform me again. Or else get us a new clothes dryer, and a few new items of clothing."
"Um, wow," said Ty. "I guess I screwed up. When I transformed you into the dryer, I merged you with it, but for your transformation at the completion, I forgot to unmerge you. I'm so sorry I've hurt you!"
"It's OK, Ty," June said. "You haven't hurt me. It was wonderful being the dryer, and having warm clothes tumbling inside me, and I still feel some of that pleasure now. I don't think I'd even mind remaining the dryer, although I suppose it won't feel quite as pleasant as the clothes cool."
"Oh, no, Mom! I'm going to fix this! I'll get you separated from the dryer. I'll just have to transform you back fully into dryer form temporarily. You don't mind that, do you?"
"That's fine, Ty," June said. "I thought you might need to do that. If you don't mind, though, could I ask you to something for me while I'm back in full dryer form?"
"Sure, Mom. What would you like me to do?"
"Would you please unload the clothes out of me, and put them in that basket?" she asked, pointing. "You don't need to fold them. I'll do that after you transform me back."
"Sure, of course, Mom! Whatever you like!" He was embarasssd by having messed up transforming her back, and would be happy to do nearly anything to make that up to her. He noticed that the clothes washer had also finished its cycle. "Um," he said, "would you like to dry those clothes too?"
"Yes, that would be nice," June said. "I should be able to dry those before Mark gets home. But if I do that, then I would like you to please fold the clothes you take out of me, after all, so that they don't get wrinkled."
"Yes, Mom. I'll be glad to. Are you ready?"
"Yes, Ty. Please turn me back." She walked to the spot where the clothes dryer had been. Where _she_ had been.
Suddenly June was gone, and the June clothes dryer was back. Ty opened her door, and emptied the clothes into the basket. He opened the clothes washer door, and started transferring the wet clothes into June. As he did that, he heard some clicking from June's control panel, and saw that she'd adjusted her own settings for this new load to 'delicate'. He put another fabric softener sheet into her, and closed her door.
He expected June to start herself, as he'd made her capable of, but she didn't. Then he remembered she said that she'd felt pleasure at him pushing her 'start' button. She must have decided to wait for him to do it.
Ty pressed June's 'start' button, and she rumbled into life once more. Ty set to work folding the dry laundry, and once he finished, he looked again through June's door, at the tumbling clothing. "She said she enjoyed doing that," Ty thought to himself. "Maybe Lisa would like to do it too? Heck, maybe I would."
He went back to his room.
