"If it's alright, I'd kinda feel weird if we just... you know, up and did it without even knowing each other." Mary says as she sits herself down.
"I'm okay with it," Sherwood answers, smiling. "Actually, I'm kinda relieved that that's how you want it too. Just because we're not human anymore doesn't mean we can't start a relationship like humans do."
"I agree." Mary looks around the room, feeling a bit awkward. "So... how long have you been here?"
"Well, I worked here for a few years before the vial thing, and well, when they showed up, I just felt like using this one, you know?"
"Yeah... it suits you."
"Thanks. Yours suits you too." Sherwood pauses for a moment, and then sets aside his whittling project.
"You're very good," Mary remarks, looking around at his handiwork.
"Thank you. Woodcarving's always been a passion of mine. I can earn my keep selling these things and have some profit to spare too. Not that I really need it anymore. You gonna be staying indoors or are you thinking of living out to pasture?"
"Oh, indoors definitely. I'm afraid I'm still a civilized lady at heart, despite the fact that I'm sitting here with only a shirt on." Mary catches herself, and opens her eyes wide in shock. "Sorry, that was inappropriate."
"S'okay. I don't really fit in my pants anymore either. Got one of the new ladies here working on making me a new pair or two. I can get her to make some that'll fit you too."
"Oh, that'd be lovely."
