Jas placed all his focus on stopping his cries, ultimately failing, because he fell asleep from exhaustion. He was placed in a large wicker basket, tucked in with blankets. However, the rebel setting him inside it removed the amulet. He thought the royal bastard son would not need it, as he was taken care of. The rebels needed money, and deep, very deep in the forest, in the territory of magical creatures, there was a faun couple wishing to adopt. They were ready to pay for a human babe and a few silver coins would be useful to the rebel making the negotiations. So while Jas was sleeping his toddler sleep, he was offered to a big tall faun who took the basket and gave a leather pouch with three silver coins to the rebel who happily took the money. The goat-like creature trotted back into the forest, delighted at the prospect of becoming a family with his mate. He was a homosexual faun with a beloved mate, but it made having babes problematic. And no orphan was there at the moment. Buying a sweet human baby felt like a gift from the gods. He already loved the little darling and he was certain his beloved would as well. Maybe a warlock or an enchantress might cast a spell to make that sweetie a faun too, and would that not be just perfect for everyone?
So when Jas opened his eyes, he was surrounded by giants that were reminiscent of goats, cooing at him, tickling him and gushing at how simply adorable he looked. When he tried to toddle or crawl away, the two horrid gay goats kept saying he was simply nervous. They showered him with cuddles and kisses. They put him in a playpen and checked the diaper they humiliated him with. If he protested, he got tickled until he was laughing, breathless and exhausted. And these monsters were discussing all the toys and things they'd buy for him. He was expected to act like a stupid baby! And worse, they were talking about transforming him into a baby faun?!!? This was only tolerated because a bottle of milk and purred fruits were forced into his mouth. Jas was horrified by it all. And the amulet was gone! What was he supposed to do now? He had to resist acting like a toddler! He just had to!
