Just before the end of the school day you notice someone who you don’t know pulling a chair and sitting next to you. He’s average looking student with a dark blue hoodie. He tries to initiate a conversation with you by gently poking your shoulder with his own. He asks from you with whispers if the rumors are true and explains that he had heard from a reliable source that you and Penny were seen together.
You affirm to him that what he has heard is true and that you wanted to ask her something. You don’t tell him what you did with Penny and you try to keep the friendly chatter as short as possible. You explain to him that it’s none of his business to know if you hang out with Penny or not.
“Hey man, I’m going to be real with you and let you know that, Penny’s a bit opportunist and her ‘friends’ aren’t the most friendliest people known in Glendale. If I were you, I would avoid hanging out with her.” The student expresses his worries to you.
But, you already knew that. Deep down in your heart you know that a girl like her means trouble for you and you think it’s a possibility that something unexpected is going to happen the moment you arrive to those train tracks this evening. The old train tracks are notorious and infamous gathering place for unhinged individuals and for people whose moral compass is more than questionable. But those has to be rumors. You are aware that there’s a slight chance that Penny’s friends could be normal people who happens to hang out at a place like that. It’s also as possible that Penny thinks that you are gullible idiot who could be persuaded with her sweet empty words. Or maybe, Penny might have told her friends that you are loaded with cash and she is prepping her buddies to prepare for your arrival. But who knows for sure. You aren’t as dumb or naive as she might think. She's the one who should watch out for you. Penny doesn’t have a clue that you are equipped with literal god-like powers. You have the high ground.
“Thanks for the head’s up. I really appreciate it. But I have a question for you too, how do you know that her friends are like that? Have you met them?” You ask from the student.
“As a matter of fact. I have. I’m Penny's ex-boyfriend and I used to hang out with her for a month before she did something irredeemable.” The student explains while rubbing the back of his head.
“’Irredeemable?’ That’s a very strong word to describe someone. Care to shed light on this ‘irredeemable’ thing that she did?” You ask from him while you fidget your pencil.
The student looks away for a second. On that small moment he put his hand on to his face on similar position like the thinker statue’s hand would be and then turns back to face you. You can see that he’s hesitating. He looks at others students and the teacher that’s front of you. You can see from his eyes that he doesn’t know if he’s even allowed to whisper the thing that Penny has done. He rips a small piece of paper out of his notebook and writes down something on it’s surface. Then he folds the paper and carefully slides it towards you with his pencil. You look at the paper for a while before picking it up. You think to yourself that what ever he has wrote there It can’t be that bad and you open the two folded paper.
