The squirrel monkey finds a quiet spot and sits down before tilting its head as it looks at the phone, it starts to fumble with it and somehow manages to unlock it, the animal the by accident selects the Chronivac-app and activates the scanner. The animal taps away at the screen when it suddenly lets out a surprise sounding squeak and clutches its head, clenching its eyes shut, and when its eyes open again they have changed, looking more intelligent than before.
‘What in the name of the monkey god has happened to me,’ the animal thinks to itself, ‘I… I feel so much smarter than before!’
The squirrel monkey stares down at the phone, its eyes widening when it understands, “the phone… no… the app… wait… am… am I talking,” it asks itself, “one… two… three… hello… I’m a monkey… oh shit… I AM talking,” it then says, quickly looking around, letting out a sigh of relief when it finds itself all alone and out of ear shot of any other monkey or human.
Relieved that its alone, the squirrel monkey, who is by the way a male, turns its attention back to the phone, examining it closely. “Seems like my natural mischievousness has caused me to steel someone’s phone,” it mumbles, “and my natural curiosity and smarts have made me, somehow, unlock the phone and open this weird app”. The squirrel monkey decides to read the manual, its eyes widen as it reads before a more mischievous expression takes over, “hm… hehe… I could have some fun with this,” it says to itself, “first… let’s try something”.
The squirrel monkey opens an option labeled “cloning” and grins when it notices that it is able to select the phone itself, “perfect,” it mumbles before confirming the selection, its grin then widens when an identical phone materializes right next to the original. The original phone gives off a “ping” as a message appears, asking if the copy including all the apps on it should be independent, without hesitation the male monkey confirms it.
“Cool, now I have my own magic phone,” it says, its tail swishing happily behind the animal, “now to get the phone back to the person it belongs to,” the squirrel monkey hides the copy of the phone under a pile of leaves before grabbing the original phone and hurrying towards the bars of the enclosure.
With the help of its sneaky instincts, the squirrel monkey lets the phone slide out of the enclosure and gently land on the ground. The squirrel monkey then climbs on a rock and observes, it doesn’t take long for someone to pick the phone up, “looks like someone lost their phone,” a man mumbles to himself, “better take this to the lost and found,” with that the man walks off.
The squirrel monkey smiles to itself, “now I can have some fun,” it mumbles to itself quietly, heading back to where it hid the copy, grinning to himself, “I’ll have so much fun!”
As the squirrel monkey heads back to the hidden copy of “Natsumi’s” phone to learn more about what the app is able to do, “Natsumi” and Jeff arrive at the lost and found, leaving a few minutes later, both looking relieved with “Natsumi” holding her phone.
“That was lucky,” Jeff says.
“Natsumi” nods, “yeah, luckily there are still some honest people around,” she says.
“Well, what do you say we head back to my place,” Jeff asks.
“Natsumi” smiles, “yeah, let’s head back,” she says, the two then walk hand in hand towards the exit of the zoo and are soon heading back to Jeff’s house, unaware of what danger they and all the other people are in.
