Lisa and Ty found his family in their living room, watching TV. "Would you like to play more games now?" June asked.
"Yes, that would be nice, thank you." Lisa replied.
"Good, because there's nothing worth watching on TV now," Dustin grumbled. They went back to sit at the dining room table.
"Would you like to play another game of Puerto Rico?" Mark asked, "Or would you prefer a different game?"
Lisa said, "I'd like to try Puerto Rico again, while the rules are fresh in my mind. The last game was fun, though I did find it a bit offensive the way the game rules refer to the workers euphemistically as 'colonists'."
"What do you mean?" asked Dustin.
"I don't want to start a political discussion," Lisa said, "but from the 16th to the 19th century, the workers in Puerto Rico, especially in mining and agriculture, were slaves."
"Oh!" said Dustin. "Well, I suppose that's not too surprising, but I see why referring to the workers as 'colonists' is offensive."
"I didn't take it personally," Lisa said. "It was just an observation. But let's play the game."
This time, Lisa was the big winner. Dustin, once again, openly stared at Lisa throughout the game, while the others continued to steal glances when they thought she wouldn't notice. Ever since puberty, she was used to catching the male eye, but this was different. Even Maria and June had stared at her, though not with lust. At least, she didn't think it was lust. She was fairly certain that everyone else's game had been thown off by the distraction her aquarium body offered. Am I... cheating? she wondered. Well it's their choice to look at me rather than pay attention to the game. She fantasized about what it would be like to go to school in this form.
They played a third game, and Lisa won, but it was closer. Maybe they're getting more used to my form, Lisa thought, though they seemed to look at her just as much.
Lisa said, "If you'll all excuse me, I think that's enough gaming for me for tonight. But let's play that again, soon. Thanks for teaching me this game. It was fun!"
June said, "Certainly. And I'm eager to do some laundry." They split up, and Lisa and Ty went to his bedroom.
"I couldn't help noticing a surprising sense of... anticipation? Excitement? In June's voice when she spoke of doing laundry,"Lisa observed.
"It's a long story," Ty said with a sigh. He explained June's adventures transforming into the laundry machines, and then, merging them into herself. He somewhat glossed over the details of how she'd behaved when she'd merged both machines into her human form at once, but told of the problems caused when she transformed from that, back into the two machines. The two _separate_ machines. And how he'd had to extract her pieces from the machines and take them to Jupiter orbit for reassembly, similarly to what he'd had to do to reassemble Lisa.
"Oh, Ty," Lisa said. "I'm sorry you had to go through that sort of thing again!" She hugged him.
"All's well that ends well, I suppose," he replied.
