The Ripper

added 17 years ago O

The small town of Melbourne, Florida found itself suddenly in the grasp of its first serial killer in memory during the summer of 2006, and it was reeling from it.

The victims were mostly female, though a couple of males had been killed as well. All told, 8 people had died in less than two months, with the bloodshed beginning in late May.

It was now July, and the police were no closer to catching the killer than they had been when it all started, and worse yet for the police, the killer was getting major media attention.

They'd dubbed the killer as "The Ripper", due to the horrifically bloody way that the victims were found, sometimes even missing chunks of flesh.

There was only one link for all of the victims-they were all employed in some manner by the adult entertainment industry, even the males. Six strippers and a couple of strip club bouncers had been slain, and the business at clubs was beginning to suffer. The girls had taken to leaving the clubs and travelling to the clubs in pairs, fearful of meeting the Ripper. Even the girls who did "extracurricular" on the side significantly reduced their business, turning tricks only with regulars whom they trusted, and sometimes not even then.

What noone knew, however, was what was to come. Not the police, not the girls, not the future victims, not the media.
