Transform or Dare?

Head Swap Marathon: Whale

added by sneme 2 days ago A BM S Macro Swimming

Mere moments before Jen's tumble, a huge blue whale had inexplicably driven itself onto the shore. Jen hit it, hard. She felt like she'd hit a warm building, the shock sending waves through the ailing animal's blubber. Before she could even orient herself, her body plucked off her head and swapped it with the whale's.

Looking up, Jen saw her body dart back into the sea and swim away. Oh no, no, no, no, NO. She wanted to sob as she saw the whale-headed woman jump back into the sea and swim away.

Her new body was crushingly heavy. She could hardly breathe, the weight of her new form suffocating her as the hot sun blazed on her cetacean skin. She couldn't move at all, limply flopping one of her distant flippers.

The sea lapped against her tailfin as the swap was made permanent. A flock of people began to gather around her. She wanted to disappear as she lay on the beach, her human head unceremoniously stuck to the body of a blue whale.

She felt the ground underneath her rumble. Gazing upwards, a large crane trundled over the hill. A team of rescue workers surrounded her, their tiny human hands feeling so distant on Jen's new skin. She felt the crane push a huge cloth underneath her, lifting her gigantic body. It went limp, and felt so heavy that she was worried she was going to snap in half as it sagged on each side of the industrial sling.

Slowly, the crane carried the poor whale-girl into deeper water. It let her down, the salty sea breeze refreshing, until she felt it lap against her skin. As soon as she was fully immersed, the sling loosened, and she was free. The deep blue water surrounded her on all sides. It supported her. She could move! She could...

BREATHE

Jen suddenly panicked as she made for the surface. Her head could barely reach it, her blue whale body resisting lifting itself out of the cold, wet embrace of the sea. Pushing more air than she ever thought possible out of her nostrils, it blew a cloud of condensation ahead of her before she automatically sucked in her next breath.

The water washing away her tears, she vowed to get her revenge on Kyle...
