"So the magical elixirs aren't as great as they claim?" you ask the group.
"They replicate our experience well enough on the physical end, but the change itself is without...passion," Ivana tells you.
"Oh?" You ask," Please explain."
"The potions are made to keep the wilder aspects of the animal buried. You change on the outside, but not really on the inside," Trevor explains.
"You're simply wearing a costume," says Tanya.
"You wouldn't be a werewolf, really," says Trevor, "rather just a man in an incredibly form-fitting costume."
"Being gifted with lycanthropy is far more personal, far more intimate...this is something that can NEVER be replicated with magic or chemistry!" snarls Ivana.
Your waitress returns with your rum and coke, sitting it down in front of you. "As a new patron, I'd like to remind you that there are far more breeds of werecreature besides the werewolf. If you're thinking of letting yourself be gifted, I'd encourage you to think hard about the company you keep," she tells you, pointedly glaring at the three at the table with you.
All three of your companions snarl threateningly at her, baring their teeth at her. Unphased, she smiles and walks away from the table, casting a slight come-hither glance at you.
"Feline filth!" snaps Trevor.
"How DARE she!" Ivana snapped, "The felines have a lot of nerve, saying WE have no honor!"
"Yeah," adds Tanya, "They're the ones who made the pacts with the magicians centuries ago!"
"They made pacts with magicians?" you ask, completely lost.
"Long story," said Trevor, who had begun to unbutton his shirt, folding it neatly and placing it under the table.
"What are you doing?" you ask, really confused.
"It's nearly time to change, and I'd rather not ruin this shit," he tells you, "It's silk."
Tanya gets up from the table, and you get to see all of her curves, and they're all quite impressive. She's clad in a tight fitting black dress which hugs her body tightly, with laces up the side. She kicks her shoes off and climbs the pedestal nearest your table, smiling down at you, and out at the crowd of patrons.
