"What... what happened? What am I?" Mary rasps in a ragged, pain-soaked voice, trembling in sight of what she's become.
"Porcupine, I'd say. Excellent decision." A voice from behind her speaks up, startling her and causing her to whirl around, knocking over bottles of shampoo and scratching the mirror with her quills.
"Who the hell are you, mister?" She coughs out, leaning back against the sink. He's a tall, dark man in a trenchcoat who looks fairly normal except for his pointed ears and inverted eye colors.
"Gandrocont. Wizard of the Nth Dimension and CEO of Magicorp. I'm just here to personally thank you for your excellent choice of new species and your testing of our new product. I'll take the sampler case back now." With a flash of white light, the cse of vials appears in his hands.
"Wait. WAIT! What? What are you talking about? What did you do to me?!" She lunges forward and grabs him by the jacket, her dark eyes widening.
"Nothing. Just presented you with an opportunity to test our product, and you did, and now we're going to go to the next test subject." He seems unfazed by her fury, and maintains his smug demeanor.
"You never told me!!"
"You never asked."
"Fix this!"
"You are fixed. We decided your dimension needed a few new species so we started with you humans. You're such a blank slate. A carte blanche, if you will. So easy to write other animals' features ontop of."
"I'll sue... I'll sue your pants off!!"
"Yeeeaahh... see, trouble with that, we don't apply to your dimension's laws. We're above and beyond you, so we do as we please. You're our puppets to do with whatever we wish."
