The ride is long, and you can see buildings thinning out, and finally replaced by trees and fields. The officer turns down a bumpy dirt road. "The Moreau's are good people. They help us out with a lot of homeless kids and runaways. They'll be happy to put you up tonight. It's a nice farm - all sorts of animals to look at. They breed horses, and cattle, and sheep, even have some fancy show dogs. You'll have fun."
The farm cetainly looks interesting. There are different animals grazing in the pasture near the barn, and a modern-looking bunkhouse is set next to an old-fashioned white Victorian house.
As the police cruiser pulls up, a nice-looking couple come out of the house and greet you with smiles. "Helo, young man." They introduce themselves as Victor and Martha Moreau. "We'll take him from here, Sam," Victor says to the officer.
"So, you don't remember anything about your past?" Martha looks you over carefully. "And the police don't have any missing persons reports. Well, not to worry. We will take care of you."
Victor frowns. "Oh, drat! I just remembered. The bunkhouse is full. Well, we'll fix you up with something. Come on." You follow the couple, and end up being given an unusual, but fairly comfortable place to sleep.
