Suddenly, a mischievous thought pops into your head. You don't want to be really mean with your powers, but good fun pranks never hurt anybody, and this family, you think, could use a little shaking up. You flit up into the dining room and hover by the ceiling, then point the wand at the father.
The change is sudden and swift, but you can perceive all of its aspects. Starting at the ankles, light calico fur shoots up and covers his entire body. Meanwhile, his feet turn into digitigrade cat-paws, and his hands, while remaining hands, develop pads on the bottoms as his fingernails become retractable claws. A three-foot tail shoots out of the base of his spine, making a loud ripping sound as it tears its way through the seat of his pants. His head is now covered in fur just like the rest of his body, and it begans to reshape into something in between a human head and a cat's muzzle, his ears becoming thin and triangular and relocating to the top of his head. In a flash, he has become an anthropomorphic calico cat. But the changes aren't done. His body reshapes from its tall, muscular frame into a smaller and slenderer figure, with noticeable curves. His chest expands into two moderate-sized breasts, pushing his shirt out, and long golden-brown hair flows down from his head as his entire body softens from its formerly sharp lines. Although it's hidden by his pants, you know that the important change has ocurred and he is now a she. The pants in question reshape into a knee-length black skirt, and her red muscle shirt becomes a lovely white blouse, a bra forming underneath to support her new breasts. The change is now complete, having taken only a few seconds. The entire family, including the transformee, stares in shock and disbelief. But you take the opportunity to turn your wand in the direction of the mother.
Her change is similar, and just as swift. She first becomes an anthropomorphic cat with dark grey fur, then becomes male, her matronly figure becoming straight and strong, though not visibly muscled, her long hair retracting into her head until all that is left is fur. She is quickly reattired in blue jeans and a black T-shirt. The former wife and former husband gape at each other in a near-catatonic state, but the daughters have realized what is going on and jump up from the table, running for the door. In a split-second, you induce their transformations.
You can sense that one daughter is very much a tomboy, and before she realizes what's happening, she's a black cat with white socks, tail-tip, and belly, and she's male, attired similarily to her new father. The other daughter is a couple years older than her new brother, and misses no opportunity to laud her supposed "maturity," so she becomes an eight-year-old orange tabby in a pink Hello Kitty jumper, complete with pink ribbons in her orange-tinged white hair.
You can tell that there's one more family member, a bratty and agressive little brother who's been sent to his room without his supper for his behavior. Flitting upstairs, you quickly make him into the twin sister of the young tabby you just transformed, right down to the jumper and hair ribbons. She screeches in shock and you follow her as she runs down to the dining room in a panic.
Their changes complete, the family stare at each other for a long time, not knowing what to say. You can tell that, although they may be in shock for a while, your mischieviously benevolent intentions have made it so that they will, eventually, become used to their new forms, becoming behaviorally identical to a person born in that form (although, obviously, no one ever has been born in their current forms.) You ponder what to do next.
