Dan went to run his hand through his curly blond hair only to have hairs leave his scalp with his retreating hand. He concealed his concerns from Stephanie and made excuses to head to the bathroom of the theater. However, nothing could have prepared him for the sight in the lavatory mirror- it was Dan and yet not the Dan he was used to looking at. The new Dan was a noticeably balding young man, what blond hair he had left was tightly curled in a receding blond afro. Fascinated, he ran his hands through his kinked curls, only to have more come out in his hands. Rather than being repulsed, he was strangely fascinated and aroused by the process. Running his hands through his hair in back , he was shocked to feel scalp at the top, evidence of an expanding bald spot on his crown. While his hair was now clearly thinning, his waistline had actually expanded some with a slight paunch now noticeable. Additionally, there was stubble on his face and a profusion of golden hairs sprouting from the top of his V-necked tee. "I'm becoming quite a bearcub", he thought to himself. However, simultaneously he was confused by the thought. "What's a bearcub?", he mumbled out loud. Just as quickly, he mentally flashed on an incident he'd forgotten. Right around the time his hair had gotten so much blonder, he remembered that day in the locker room when some of his teammates cracked on him getting a little light in the loafers. A day in which he felt "strange", especially when it came to the way he noticed his hunky, hairy teammate Peter in a totally different way than ever before. He flashed on how forested Peter's six-pack chest had been, what a bush he'd sported around his instrument, how high Peter's forehead was before his soft reddish-blonde curls started and how aroused he'd been by the sight. Dan had subsequently written the experience off as an aberration. But in this moment, feeling even more aroused at the memory than he had during the original encounter, Dan knew the truth. He deeply,intuitively knew what a "bearcub" was and just as surely knew he was as gay as a man can be. He felt a sudden need to see Peter but just as quickly remembered he was out with Stephanie. "What was up with that?", he thought to himself. He put the thought aside, resolving to come up with an excuse to leave early. He needed to see Peter. By now, the bathroom pretense had turned into the real thing. Dan quickly took care of things, all the while noting how much more hair he seemed to have down there. Exiting the stall, he went to wash his hands. Briefly glancing in the mirror, he was again struck by the reflection which looked back- Dan's receding blond widow's peak was now almost completely gone except for some wispy blond curls. He was bald! He still had a horseshoe fringe of tight kink on his sides but somehow also knew his dome now extended several inches down his back. "Damn, I'm going to be a full Norwood 7 sooner rather than later", he mumbled, never giving a second thought to the fact that a day ago he'd never even heard of the Norwood Male Pattern Baldness classification chart. "What's happening to me?", he thought with a unique combination of concern and arousal. Dan knew the answers resided with Peter.
