Juan looked at Mr. Mendes, who had returned to adulthood, in amazement. "what the hell...wait," he stopped and looked down at his own naked body. "Something's wrong." He seemed to be shrinking slightly. The dark peachfuzz on his 14-year-old lip and chin began to fade, and the protruding black hair receded back under his arms and down from his navel.
"What are you doing to me!" he demanded, his voice cracking and rising in pitch as he lifted a brown arm to see the last of the hair disappear. Mr. Mendes just shook his head, trying to hide any sign of pleasure at witnessing this reversal of fortune. "You'd better change me back, Mendes," Juan warned in as threatening a manner as he could summon with his child's voice.
