It was a bizzare humanoid creature, obviously female, drawn in an american comic book style. It was defenately professional work. The face had nearly no nose, with huge, round blue black eyes. No eyebrows, small blue lips, with markings all over its face. One hand was up and spread into three thick fingers, and a long tail coiled around its animal legs. Thick tenticles spread around its head, where hair would be on a human woman. It even looked as if it had gills.
Beneith it were the words "GOTCHA, BITCH!" followed by "Turn over for care and feeding."
As soon as she looked at it, Jennifer felt something like a cold rush go over her body. A strange tinging, pins and needles everywhere. And suddenly she knew, without a doubt, what was about to happen to her.
She grabbed the picture out of her friend's hands and stared at it even more. She stood up in class, breathing hard. No way. It was impossible...it was...
Lexis screamed and pointed at Jennifer's face. "Jennifer! Your EYES!" She said.
The teacher looked over at them, annoyed. "Girls, for the last time, stop disrupting my class."
Everyone ignored him.
Jennifer looked at her friends, all three of whom were staring at her, different expressions of shock and even fear on thier faces. "What? What is it?" SHe said.
Katie took a compact out of her purse, opened it and held it out to her. Jennifer looked into it and stared.
Her eyes were a flat, liquid black, though still of human size and shape.
As she watched, her eyes began to expand.
She screamed and dropped the compact, then ran past every student in the room, racing for the door. She sheilded her face from their eyes with the drawing in her hand. She felt the odd twisting, prickling sensation in her gut increase, and she knew she couldn't let anyone see this. It would ruin her reputation! Utterly ruin it!
She ran through the halls and out the nearest door. Outside the sun seemed unnaturally, painfully bright. She looked for shade and saw the bleachers for the football feild. She ran for them and huddled under the shade.
Dear god. What was happening to her?
