To Amy's relief, the teacher announced the start of class before she could think of what to say to Sam. She sat through the class, thinking in the back of her mind what to tell Sam. She noticed him glancing at her every so often. When the class had finally ended, Amy stood up and made for the door.
Sam called to her. Amy hesitantly turned around. She knew she couldn't just be rude and brush him off. "If you don't want to tell me, I understand. It's fine. But please don't just ignore me."
"I'm sorry," Amy said. "Really. I just...can't really talk about it right now."
"Okay," Sam said. "See you tomorrow." He walked into the hallway and disappeared into the crowd. Amy sighed in relief.

Once classes ended, Amy met Lina outside of school. They walked together to the store. "Did anybody notice you were different?" Lina asked.
"One guy," Amy said. "He was kind of cute. He knew something was wrong, but thanks to the collar he couldn't put his finger on it. Have you thought about what you want to be?" the catgirl asked, swishing her tail playfully.
"I still haven't decided," Lina answered. "I think I'll know when we get there."
