Most of the day passes without event. It's almost as if the day is trying to be boring to spite you for actually expecting something bad to happen.
You spend the day watching TV, laying around the apartment, and really not doing much of anything. Eventually the mail arrives.
You sigh and pick it up, already knowing what half of it is. "Bill, bill, bill, bill, bill, spam, spam, bill, spam, spam, spam, death threat, spam, bill. Wait."
You go back and read a letter that appeared in the mail.
Dear Spellcaster,
You are in far over your head. The attack yesterday was just the first of many to come. For refusing my alliance, it is now to late for you to take a place at my side. However, if you surrender the Book of Beast and the Book of Time to me now you can still get off with your life, and maybe even your humanity.
You have until midnight to make your decision. At that time one of my assistants will be waiting for you in the park. If you show, and give the book without trouble, you will remain alive.
If you do not show, the assitant will then seek you out, and take the books by force.
You sigh.
"You know, this is all starting to sound like a cheesy mystery story. Well lets see.... So, we have another threat to kill me, how many of those have I gotten in the last few days?"
Well, it's currently around 4:00 PM, so you have several hours before the deadline in the letter to make a decision on what to do.
