You wake up slowly in the now-dark room. The light that previously had been coming through the windows is almost gone, and you realize the sun is setting. You sit bolt upright, frightened for a moment- was it supposed to be a full moon tonight?
As though she could read your thoughts, Ivana softly says, "No worries, my little mundane one, the moon is full tomorrow."
"No, I wasn't really worried," you say, a weak protest that did little to hide the truth.
Ivana smiles at you patronizingly, "You don't have to lie to me. There's really no point, I could smell your fear when you awakened."
"Sorry, it's just waking up in a strange place and all...I'm just a bit off-guard," you tell her, still trying to cover your faux-pas.
Ivana smiles and strokes your face. "There's nothing to fear, my young one. Do you REALLY think that I could bring myself to harm you?"
You look into her eyes, and even in the dim light, you can see the truth of what she's saying. "No, I know you wouldn't," you tell her, making her smile.
Ivana rolls out of the bed, stretching as she stands up. You smile wistfully as you watch her stretch, a natural grace in her every movement, belying her noble blood. A slight flutter goes through your heart, and you realize that indeed, Ivana is everything you look for in a woman. "Would you like some dinner, or have you tired of my company for now?" She asks, a hopeful look on her face. You can tell she wants you to say yes.
