Nancy walks away, and Todd stares at her backside. He thinks about how strange it is that when people walk away, they seem to get smaller. Just an illusion.
He'd just made this girl bigger, though! No illusion!
He grins to himself about this power he now holds in his hand.
Nancy looks back at him and smiles.
Todd waves, smiling also, back at her.
She stops in the distance, to adjust the shoes she'd recently grown out of.
Without thinking too hard about it, he fires at her again, for about two seconds.
She stands up again and walks off.
Two seconds go by and she slows down.
She glances over her shoulder again, not smiling this time.
"Todd!" she yells for him, calmly but a little scared-sounding.
She's stopped dead in her tracks, back to him. He jogs up.
"What's up now, Nancy?" he pretends not to know.
"I, uh..." she tries to explain, turning around slowly.
