While peter and Joce were running, her cell phone went off. She slowed down until she came to a stop, so that she could answer her cell phone, before her voice mail picked up. Peter stopped just a few feet in front of her.
“Hello? Oh! Hi there, Ty!” Yes, I’m fine!... What? Peter? Oh… He’s right here!” she said, before she handed her cell phone to Peter.
“Sure cousin… Sure… I’ll pick up some bread and cereal at the grocery store before I come home!” He then hung up Joce’s cell phone and handed it back to her.
“Where is your cell phone? I thought you had it with you…” Joce said angrily.
“I-I forgot my cell phone at my house again…” he replied, feeling a bit ashamed. “It’s so easy to forget the darn thing… I always leave it somewhere…”
“Well…” Joce said, as she walked up to him with an evil grin on her face. “We’re just going to have to take care of this right now… Go get your cell phone!”
Joce snapped her fingers. Immediately, Peter disappeared into thin air.
Suddenly, Peter found himself standing in his bedroom. He spotted his little cell phone on his bed. He walked over and took it in his hand, when he disappeared again. A second later, he reappeared outside, standing right in front of Joce.
Joce took the cell from him, and glanced at the screen for a moment. Then, she held the small phone up with her fingers. She walked up to Peter and made a silent wish, before she pressed the small cell phone against the side of Peter’s head.
“Hey! What the-…???”
Suddenly, Peter’s head absorbed the cell phone! It had disappeared, and was now inside of his head.
“Now… Look at the palm of your right hand…” she instructed him.
When Peter looked down, he spotted the buttons of his cell phone, as they formed on the palm of his right hand! Not only were the buttons there, containing the ten digits, but the small display screen formed on his had as well.
“There you go! You will never forget your cell phone again!” Joce chuckled. “And you must always answer every call! The power cord is in your other hand, so you can plug in and charge your phone overnight. This way, your cell phone remains inside of you, and you’ll never leave it anywhere, and you’ll never miss a phone call again!”
“Wow…” Peter chuckled. “This is cool…”
Suddenly Peter heard a ring tone going off. But, it was going off inside of his head.
“Uhh…. Hello?” peter said. He just had to talk normally, since the cell phone was now a part of his body.
“Hi Allen… Yeah… I’ll be there for swimming practice tomorrow! Thanks! Bye…”
Peter just pressed the button, which was in the palm of his right hand, and the call was hung up.
“There! That takes care of that problem, cell-phone-boy!” Joce laughed.
The two continued their jog around the neighborhood, and Peter was excited that he never had to worry about misplacing his cell phone again…
What would Joce do next?
