Vix looked around the room, taking in the mix of shock, dismay and anger that was borne on the faces of the various coven members. Anaya and Ebony were scared, terrified really. Debra was worried. Lisa was seething with anger.
"Where was the last place you heard from here?" Vix asked.
"She had a late class, a Senior Seminar, in Hyde Hall that ran from 7 to 9 tonight," Debra said. "She called me from her office after that and said her keys were missing. She said she'd called Solange to run another set over to her. That was around 9:30."
"Okay," Vix continued her interrogation. "Was her office in Hyde Hall too?"
"Uhmm, yeah," Anaya offered.
"And where did she park?"
"The main lot off South Wienbach," Debra said. "That's where Solange was going to meet her."
"We'd better get over there," Vix said calmly.
The group stormed out of the office. When they reached the parking lot, Lisa stepped next to Vix's Mustang. "I'm coming with you," she said.
"Suit yourself," Vix replied.
Vix got in and fired up the engine. She didn't wait for Lisa to strap herself in before she sped off out of the lot, leaving a cloud of smoke and tire tracks in her wake. She flew around several side streets and onto the East Lloyd Expressway. She careened off at the Weinbach Street exit with her tires squealing and pulled into the parking lot at EU less than three minutes after she left.
"There's Solange's car," Lisa said.
Vix pulled along side. Solange got out when she saw Lisa in the passenger seat. Her eyes were red, and it was clear that she had been crying. She held a piece of paper in head.
"I found this in Sharon's car," she sobbed as she handed the note to Lisa.
Vix snatched it before Lisa could read it. There was an FBI business card attached - Ramers.
Vix scanned the note.
"What does he want?" Lisa asked.
