"We're changing pretty slowly," Amy said. "So it'll probably be a while before we notice if it's stopped. We should start looking for something that will take these collars off."
Several minutes passed while the girls walked down a few aisles, staring intently at every object in sight for a sign of usefulness. Amy continued to check her height against the shelves, but since each aisle was set up for different arrangmements she couldn't get an accurate estimation. They had started down the third aisle when Lina said "Hey, I think I'm getting smaller. My bra is feeling looser."
Amy looked up and up at her friend--their height difference was over a foot and a half--to see if her shirt looked looser. It was barely noticeable, but her chest did seem less tight than before. However, her belly still forced the shirt to ride up and her shorts, once baggy, looked very constricting as well. "I don't think you really look that different," Amy said, then realized something felt off. Her weight seemed too far forward all of a sudden. She looked down, thinking she had grown, but her pants were still close to touch the floor even in their rolled-up state. Then she had another thought. She lifted her very wide collar and peered at her breasts.
They were bigger. The bra may have been dangling around her stomach, but her breasts were definitely bigger than they used to be. "Lina...I'd really hate to tell you this..."
Lina looked down to see what Amy was looking at. "Oh no. No. No no no--" she tried pulling her own shirt up to look at her own, but it was hard to move the bottom of it over her cups. She resorted to just squeezing them through the shirt and bra, but even doing that was enough to confirm the worst. "Amy, you idiot!" she screamed. "You stupid little pipsqueak! I knew this was a bad idea!"
Amy cowered against a shelf with exotic-looking plants. Her knees began to shake. In her large form Lina seemed very intimidating, and Amy feared she was actually going to hurt her. "Please, Lina," she squeaked. "I'm sorry. I didn't know. I'm sorry."
