Very sleepy and comfortable, Joey started to drift off as the leathery bag began to solidify around him. He had a dim concern over what his parents, his freinds and family would think. As far as they knew, he had simply vanished. He felt a faint regret for the loss of his life as a boy, and the future he might have had as a man. Yet even the thoughts of losing his family seemed unimportant now - he was becoming a dragon for real! This was no game of Ty's - this was a new world, and his chance to really live his dream.
Ty watched as the huge female dragon tenderly scooped up the now-hardened bronze egg. Holding it carefuly in her forpaws, she took off and began flying towards the distant mountains that were her home. Joey would be placed in her nest, where he would spend the next five years reforming into a newborne dragon.
Grinning, Ty mentally marked off one request. Joey had gotten his wish granted. Ty would have to come back in ten years or so and see how the toddler dragon liked his new life. But for now, he had three other 'wishes' to take care of.
