"Wow," said Miranda, "That sounds like fun!"
"I'm sure it will be," John the restauranteur replied, "Miss Deville has been working on this for years."
"Planning a party for years?" Jason asked, "Is she anal-retentive? Jesus Christ, it's only a party!"
"Not to her, sir," John told him, "She wants it to be memorable for everyone." He smiled at Miranda and Jason, "I think she's succeeded at that, but you'll have to come if you want to find out."
Miranda looked eagerly at Jason, "It would be nice to have some company for the party," she said, smiling at him.
Jason smiled back at this little hispanic beauty he somehow had scored. She was putting off the vibes that let him know he'd be getting laid if he just played his cards right. "Sure," he told her, "I'd love to."
"Wonderful!" John said, clapping his hands together excitedly. I'm sure Miss Deville will be quite pleased, especially that you're coming, Miranda."
"So, when do we need to be back here?" Jason asked.
"The party itself will start with a dinner at 7 PM. Be sure not to be late; the doors will be locked at 7:15, and there's no exceptions. Miss Deville was quite specific about that," John said firmly.
"Okay, so that gives us a couple hours until the party," Jason said to Miranda, "So what do you want to do until then?"
