Suddenly, Joey caught a scent. A scent of roasted beef.
He sniffed several times before he was certain it came from the inside of the guild.
He hesitated for a while but decided to gently open the door and look if he could get some food.
He pushed the door open and entered the building as far as he could.
Unfortunately, the same fear was present amongst the wizards concerning dragons, as screams of surprise and terror rose up, alerting the whole building.
The others of the party came rushing towards the entrance, already guessing that Joey, bored, as he would become for waiting outside, did some stupid move.
By the time they got to him, he was already entangled in the chains of a chandelier hanging from the ceiling with his horns and surrounded by several mages, ready for an attack.
“Sorry, Joey, But we forgot about you.” Brian said.
"It’s all right. He is with us,” Christine said against the mages.
Reassured, one mage, an eastern looking type, undid his cape and spread it in front of him while shouting a short, but strong incantation. It hovered in front of him as a flying carpet and brought him towards the ceiling to help their ‘big ‘ friend out of the chains.
“He is simply too big”, Brian said.” He couldn’t come with us inside this building.
Anyhow, Cedric, meet Joey, Joey, meet Cedric, the apprentice and our new ‘boss’”
Cedric gave Joey the instructions to go around the back to the yard and meet them there to inform him about the quest, and more important, to get some food and avoid more commotion.
