For the first time in its short existence, the zombie's head turned slowly on its neck. The werewolf could hear flesh and bone grinding like rock, and when the neck finished its rotation a sickening snap slunk out. Now the zombie was looking at the werewolf, it's face looking for all the world as if the werewolf was the most terrifying thing it could ever hope to see. Had the werewolf not known of the Corruptor's existence, it might have agreed.
Something on the zombie's face was changing! The werewolf looked closely, and saw that slowly, they brows were lifting, just barely. Then they stopped, but the eyes no longer looked completely horrified. With the raised brows, there was a bit of question to its face. The werewolf didn't like it, and was sure that the Corruptor wouldn't either. It wondered if it was going to get punished for this, and resolved never to think on its own again. The werewolf had see what the Corruptor did to those who ruined his fun.
Then, miraculously, the zombie did yet another thing. A short hiss of stale breath wisped from it's wide-open mouth, and on the tiny wind floated a faint word, a question.
"Love?" It said.
A light flared to life, previously dead, within the werewolf's soul. It wanted to cry out, to howl in warning, but it found itself voiceless. The Corruptor, meanwhile, had brought its second zombie to life and was in the midst of a second, ferocious round of copulation. The werewolf had at first been wildly jealous that these corpses felt the Corruptor's passion before it, but now it was consumed with the struggle for control. Tooth and nail, the arcane beast fought for control of its body against the light which had mysteriously erupted in its breast at the word of the zombie.
The zombie, the werewolf registered in some dim and crumbling part of its mind, was changing as well. Nothing very dramatic, like the violent writhing of the werewolf, but more of a slow melting of the rictus of horror. As the light gained ground the on the werewolf, the eyes widened in horror began to soften, and the mouth spread impossibly wide began to close. Clenched muscles loosened, and the face of the werewolf's mother slowly returned to some semblance of normality.
Then the werewolf lost its last hold on its precious, Corruptor-granted body, and the light filled its host. Bobbi stopped squirming in her mother's grasp, and in return her mother dropped her hand back to her side. The two of them locked eyes, and silently began to run.
The Corruptor found even greater pleasure with this zombified creation than with the first; its body was more voluptuous, and healthier to boot. He went through the cycle three times with it, licking his oily black tongue over the face of his dead step-sister, rotting away the surface flesh. His saliva was potent acid, but he wasn't worried; a zombie's nature regenerated its flesh enough to keep it from falling apart from decay. Finally the copulation was finished, and he stood up, proudly surveying his undead family servant getting to its feet.
Now, to continue what had been interrupted. The Corruptor turned to the werewolf - and it wasn't there.
Alarmed and infuriated, the Corruptor extended its influence again. Wherever the wolf-bitch was, he would find it and punish it for moving. For breathing when he hadn't ordered it! His influence, even extended, felt nothing.
Then the Corruptor noticed that his first zombie was gone as well. What was going on? He extended his influence as far as it would go.
There they were! Running - running away from the house! But why? Could they have been turned? No - the werewolf was still a werewolf, and the zombie couldn't be returned to human form; it would simply turn back into a corpse. So what in holy heaven was going on?!?
It didn't matter. The roof caved in above the Corruptor, and he spread his massive black wings. Whatever the reason, it wasn't good enough. The werewolf and zombie would be destroyed. He still had one good zombie, and could easily corrupt the neighbors and other people who came to call.
It was time to punish the disobedient. The Corruptor took flight.
