After many failed attempts at getting it to turn, you move the dial to the picture of the mouse on the compass-like object. You gaze at the dial, hoping that something will happen. But in a few minutes you become bored, and throw the compass away.
Sitting at a park bench, you start to feel strange. You pinpoint this feeling to your head, and touch your ears. They seem... big.
You hear a loud rip between your shorts. When you turn round, you see a large pink tail coming out of a hole in your pants and make its way through a gap in the bench. Your hands change too; your nails sharpen and become clawlike. A tingling sensation comes over your body as dark fur develops and whiskers sprout from your face. Suddenly, you start to shrink and don't stop until you are about the same size as the dial.
You scamper on all fours to the pond and look. Staring at you in the reflection in the water is a mouse.
