"I'd love a couple of balloons for us!" Carrie giggled gleefully. John just stood by and watched, becoming rather embarrassed by his wffe's antics. Carrie was quite enthralled with the colorful and filled to bursting pieces of latex. Carrie loved how balloon were so full. These balloon that the seller had were the best. All kinds of shapes, but mostly animals. They were plump with wonderful curves and in a way, somewhat sexy.
The balloon seller smiled at Carrie, knowing he had a sale for sure. "Oh course, pick out any you'd like. Tell you what, I'll give these to you for free. Such a beautiful lady like yourself deserves a small gift. And I know that you'll enjoy these balloons." The seller waved a white-gloved hand at his selection.
Carrie looked around, browsing the selection of uninflated balloons. She caressed their slick surface, feeling the silky latex. She finally settle on two, one for her and one for her stick-in-the-mud husband. She handed them to the seller. "Would you be so kind as to put helium in these?"
The balloon seller took them gently, "Of course! It'd be my pleasure." He took the first one, it was pink and large. He fit the nozzle on the helium tank and turned the nozzle. The sound of the gas hissing into the balloon filled the air. The balloon quickly took shape. Parts filled up and legs, arms, a head, and two big ears popped showing an incredibly happy pink bunny balloon. The seller tied a string around the nozzle and handed it to Carrie who then tied the free end to her own wrist.
Next the seller took John's balloon. It was also large but rather than pink, it was purple. Again, the seller put the balloon's nozzle on the tank and filled it up. It swelled with new life as the gas filled in the free space within the balloon. Arms, legs, a head, tail and a couple of ears popped out like Carrie's. The seller took another string and tied it to John's purple fox balloon. He handed it to John. "Uh...thanks." John said as he took it.
Carrie was staring up at both balloons, taking in the burgeoning shapes. How the gas inside made the curves so luscious and full. John took Carrie's arm and guided her away. Coming out of her reverie, Carrie waved goodbye to the Balloon Seller and thanked him for his gift. The seller simply smiled and nodded knowingly.
"So, where to now?" John asked.
