It took a second for it to click.
"Turned myself into a girl."
He had been flicking a nipple with his tongue when she had said that, and was seconds from unzipping his pants when it hit.
"You're a guy?!" He said, sounding vaguely sick. His fingers that had teased the edges of her too-tight jeans clenched, and he stood up. "AGH!"
"But...I'm not!" She protested. "I turned myself all the way into a woman, and--"
Quaid was shaking. "That's...sick!" He would have thought she was lying, but he looked at the device right next to them. "Get the fuck out of here!" He shouted, and Sunny was horrified. "GET OUT!"
And Sunny ran. She didn't stop running until she was back to her own apartment, clutching her bag and her Chronivac--it took her a moment to realize that somewhere between here and there she'd managed to put on her shirt, and hadn't left it at Quaid's.
Why did she have to be so stupid? Why couldn't she be smart, and know that would make him upset? It was ruined now, forever! No other man could do it for her.
