A cramping in her stomach forced Mary to double over. Rebbecca put the box of vials back down and helped Mary over to her couch.
"Are you all right? What does it feel like?" Her voice was alternating between genuine concern and cold scientific interest.
Mary was almost in too much pain to respond. "Ooooh! It's...my stomach!" It was throbbing painfully now. Mary clutched her stomach just above her udder. She could feel something twisting and writhing inside.
Rebbecca took Mary's arms away and pressed an ear to her belly. "I think your stomach is dividing."
"What?!" Mary snapped in between gasps of pain. "Buh...but I--OOH!--I thought I'd stopped...changing!"
"We've never tried half-portions of the vials. You were supposed to drink the entire vial."
"Well I didn't...MOOOOOAH! See any WARNINGS!" Mary was too concerned about the pain in her stomach to care that her moans were turning into moos.
"I've got to take you with me right now," Rebbecca said sternly. She tried to help Mary to her feet. Her torso was beginning to widen noticeably as her stomach finished splitting into four. Mary mooed in pain as Rebbecca helped her hobble out to her car.
