As you ponder what you should do next as you step out of the building and back into the street you fail to see a little to foot tall red hadrosaur woman tiptoe past the reception desk as the guards rush by and follow you.
Sylvia has somehow managed to follow your escape and is tagging right behind you as you walk back to your car. You nearly jump six feet in the air when a tiny familiar voice pipes up. “Where are we going?” Sylvia asks, with a childlike quality in her voice.
You wheel around in shock and quickly dart your head around to make sure nobody has seen her. Nobody has, so you reach down to grab Sylvia in both hands and scoop her up before running towards the car. Sylvia giggles playfully and hangs on to your arm, smiling at what she sees as a game.
You quickly unlock the driver’s side door with your keys and gently set Sylvia down in the passenger seat before hopping in. She’s smaller than a child is and the seat of the car dwarfs her. You wipe the sweat from your brow and look at down at Sylvia. The little dinosaur woman smiles happily and shakes her tail. “Are we going for a car ride?!” she asks excitedly, “I love going for car rides!”
You shake your head and feel tears welling up in your eyes. “You… how did you follow me?” You shudder as the image of Dr. Hurley’s feet disappearing down Sylvia’s throat replays in your mind.
“The door wasn’t shut right and I snuck out!” Sylvia says proudly. “I want to be with my new friend!”
“Sylvia… you murdered Dr. Hurley.” You say coolly.
Sylvia suddenly frowns and whimpers sadly. “Victoria was an evil woman! She hurt me! She did things to me! She tasted good, like a little mousy!” The dinosaur then raises her right hand and you gasp in shock. “But my stomach didn’t like her and I threw up! See?” Sylvia is dangling the tiny Dr. Hurley in her fingers, the three inch woman limp and apparently unconscious. She is covered in saliva and still dripping, her hair is now a tussled mess.
“Oh JESUS!” You exclaim and snatch Dr. Hurley from Sylvia’s grasp, gently placing the doctor in the middle of your palm and checking for a pulse with one finger. To your astonishment you can still see Victoria’s chest breathing and can feel her heartbeat faintly. She survived being eaten!
