There was a faint smile on Shanna's face as she slowly woke up. She snuggled deep in the sleeping bag, warm and secure. What's more, while she couldn't remember what she'd dreamed, she had the vague recollection that it was wonderful. Wonderful enough that as she slowly drew the flannel lining back from her face it didn't even register that someone was steadily breathing beside her.
What was slowly dawning on her however was the fact that underneath the sleeping bag she hadn't a shred of clothing on. While the soft sensation of her curves sliding against the flannel wasn't unpleasant, it did plant the beginnings of realization that not all was quite right.
A muzzy sigh not her own finally drove home the warm mass that shared the sleeping bag with her, bare back just inches away from her own and brushing against her as well. Her eyes snapped open, and she held her breath for a beat before slowly turning her head to look.
Her eyes were met by a sprawling mass of curly black hair.
Anna.
She hadn't, had she? Panic began to melt away her good sensations as she wracked her brain, trying to remember how on Earth she had ended up in bed with Emily's friend.
She didn't really get a chance to figure it out, as the zipper suddenly opened on the side and Katie's head poked in.
"Shanna, you've got to get u- ... Oh geez."
Shanna turned beet red as her friend stared at her predicament, trying to form a word. Anna made sounds of stirring.
"Uhm... look," Katie managed, "just get dressed and out here. Jack's missing."
