"Shopkeeper," Said Dean, "This belt looks quite extravagant. How much is it?"
The shopkeeper eyes it adeptly, then pulls back with a smile. "Ah yes! That belt is a unique item, guaranteed to fit you under any condition. For you, my first customer, and for making such a great choice in your purchase, I will part with it for only ten dollars."
Dean took note of the old man's enthusiasm, also of the word 'guaranteed'. "So you say this belt will hold my pants up, no matter what?"
"Indeed it will," the old man followed, "and it will do so uniquely."
"How's that?"
"You'll have to discover that for yourself." said the man, still wearing his grin.
Dean paid for the belt and began to walk off with his acquisition. As he stepped out the door, the shopkeeper spoke some parting words. "Don't be deceived, young man! Let not disbelief fool you, for the impossible becomes lesser by the day! And if you are satisfied with that belt, I invite you back to partake of our many other fashions!"
With those words, Dean's views of reality would never be the same again.
