She typed in "Ryoko" with a grin, and hit enter.
Suddendly, she felt dizzy. She'd forgotten that her middle name was chosen because that
had been her grandmother's name. Her body changed slightly, as her very past was
altered, removing Rebekah from her family tree, and replacing her with a Japanese woman
named Ryoko.
Her memories didn't change much, her grandmother had died before she was born, but
she immediately got up to look in the mirror.
She now had just a hint of Asian features, and for whatever reason, she realized she'd
shrunk a few inches in height, down to 4' 9" or so.
And she now spoke fluent Japanese, in addition to the other languages she had known.
"Woah...that was...neat!"
She liked the new look, but she decided to reclaim her height. Sitting back down at the
Chronivac, she again shot up to 5'. Checking to make sure no other major changes had
been made, she decided on her next move.
Hm, a tab on her "Relationship History". Oh this should be good.
Sure enough, it was a list of her previous boyfriends ("ick", she thought, since she was now
a lesbian) and girlfriends. Including her ex, Miriam. That had ended badly, and was a
large reason why Damia was such a shut-in now.
She noticed that she had access to Miriam's profile. Could she use the Chronivac to get a
measure of revenge on her former lover?
