Amy went and bought her ticket, then went back to Lina only to see Percy still standing there, looking at her and her hair. He had a ticket too she noticed. "Seeing the show?" she asked.
"Yeah," said Percy, smiling shyly. "How-- How did you grow your hair out so fast?"
Amy didn't want to say it had all just happened in a couple days, because that would be just too weird -- even if it was the truth -- so she just said, "You see that shop over there? I got some really good hair care products there. You should check it out."
"Really?" said Percy, looking over at the magic shop. "I thought they just had imports and old junk."
"You need to look in the back," said Amy. "There's all sorts of stuff in there."
"Go check it out," Lina suggested. "We can hold you a place in line. It's about fifteen minutes until they let anyone in anyway, and then you can sit with us."
"Really?" asked Percy shyly.
"Sure," said Amy, a little shy herself.
Percy grinned, getting the hint that they wanted to talk girl talk for a few minutes, but that he was going to sit with them. So he just waved and took off for the shop.
It still looked like an old junk shop with all sorts of odd imports, but in the back, sure enough, there was a whole cosmetics assortment. "May I help you?" asked the old guy who ran the place, suddenly standing at his side.
"Uh," said Percy. "I was just looking at what you had. A friend of mine said she got some really great hair care products here."
"Ah," said the old man, "well, we have a wide assortment. Perhaps you might try this," he said, taking up a small jar marked TESTER, "guaranteed to put hair on your chest."
"What's in it?" asked Percy, looking at the small jar covered with Asian writing.
The old man shrugged. "Mostly a base of Tibetan yak butter, but various other ingredients as well. Try it if you do not believe me." He held out the open jar.
Percy had always wanted to have a hairy chest, but it was something he was a bit young to have, if he ever would. He took three fingers and dipped out a large gob of the stuff and smeared it on his chest. It felt warm and tingly and melted almost at contact with his skin, running down his chest and under his shirt. "Like that?" he asked.
The old man laughed. "Oh, that should be more than enough! I would usually only recommend the tiniest dab, but of course, to each his own." He replaced the lid and put it back on the shelf.
Percy stood there, feeling the grease drip down his chest and into his shorts where it was causing odd tingly feelings in his crotch as well. He then looked at his watch and realized the movie was going to start soon. "Thanks, uh, I gotta go," he said and ran out the door.
"Come again!" called the old man.
Percy had a quick minute to pick up some popcorn for him and the girls, a small bag for each.
"Thanks," said Lina and the beautiful Amy.
"Thanks for saving me a spot," said Percy. He took a bite of popcorn and then swallowed it. There was an odd taste, and then he realized he had the yak butter still on his fingers.
They went into the movie, and Percy got to sit next to Amy, on the other side from Lina. His chest still tingled, along with his stomach and his crotch and in fact, all the rest of him. He took another bite of popcorn and then realized there was something odd with his face: he had peach fuzz. He touched it, stroking it, and it tingled more on contact with his greasy fingers, growing longer until he suddenly realized he'd grown a full goatee and moustanche.
He then touched his chest. It was hairy as well. Extremely hair. And he still felt a tingling in his crotch and in fact all over his body as he swallowed and tasted the odd taste of the yak butter and whatever else was in the old man's ointment.
