I kept changing, of course. I had turned into the woman in line... First, my hair and face, then my chest and crotch. I looked like her, but didn't stop changing. My belly got tighter. It felt as though I was ready to burst out of these pants. As I opened the pants I felt something move inside my belly, but it wasn't quite in my stomach... was I really pregnant? I must have been.
As I looked in the mirror I noticed it beginning to move. No, not it, me. I had lost a little bit of height. When I looked down at my reflection I could see that I was now just like that woman all the way down to the legs and feet.
I considered wandering around the mall... no, I couldn't! I didn't have proper clothes. I didn't want to get arrested for being naked, and my identification didn't match what I looked like. What a fool I was to try this in the store instead of going home.
I walked to just inside the changing room door and waited until there weren't a lot of people directly watching. I ran out of the room when I could, then out of the store. I couldn't run fast at all, I couldn't even walk well. But I made it to my car and I got in and drove home.
It was too bad that I didn't know then that the medallion doesn't work on pregnant women. But I wasn't going to find that out for another 12 hours.
