The captain and crew move in on you with sinister looks in their eyes (those eyes that they still have.) You know that you can't fight them all, so you meekly agree to step in the boat and search for this "invisible island."
The crew lowers you down in one of the ship's boats, with no supplies other than your oars and the clothes on your back. You nervously wonder whether this is a cruel joke or an attempt to get rid of you once and for all.
You row and row away from the ship for what seems like hours, facing backward toward the ship, when suddenly the ship vanishes from view, leaving only open water where it once floated. You look over your shoulder, and only a few leagues away is the white, sandy beach of a tropical island! Whatever magic surrounds this island must conceal from both directions, which explains why you can't see the ship any more.
"Well, whaddya know," you say to yourself, "Those bastards were telling the truth!
You use your remaining strength to quickly row ashore, until your boat scrapes to a stop in the sand. You thought you saw Captain Flogg and his men watching you through spyglasses as you rowed away, so they probably saw you disappear and are now sailing toward you. If you hope to escape from them, you'd better get away from here before they arrive!
However, you feel exhausted, hungry, and thirsty, and you can think of no reasonable way to get home from here, except of course in the custody of Captain Flogg.
You step out of the boat and into the surf as you feel your shaky legs try to get accustomed to dry land once again. You wonder what to do...
