"I wish..." I rasped, struggling to form the words as my more primal side continued to push away the humanity inside my mind, "I wish the change would revert." I felt my muscles stop swelling, and my nails began to retract. Suddenly, the primal side of me took over, and before I realized what I was saying, I added, "For five minutes!"
My head cleared then, and I stood shirtless and quite human in my apartment, but knowing that in five minutes the transformation would happen, and that I would not stop it again, no matter how badly I wanted to right now. Let their own inner beast match my own in love of the hunt and love of the rut!"
I gasped, knowing what I'd said, knowing that it hadn't been the REAL me, so much as this primal force I'd unwittingly invited into myself and given a large amount of free reign. I glanced at the clock on my microwave; three minutes had passed. I could feel subtle changes slowly starting again. Nothing major; nothing even visible, but I could feel SOMETHING internally beginning.
A knock came at my door. I smiled, knowing what was to come. It was a genuine smile, though not without a bit of trepidation. There was no telling WHO was on the other side. The knock came again, and I moved to answer it.
I opened the door, and...
