You should be more than close enough to do it. Yeah, sure. It's still fast, but if you do this right it should work. Darting both your hands at it, you reach towards the skunk. It tries to turn but you move a bit as it does to avoid the spray, buying just enough time to get it in your clutches before it could possibly spray you. As you do, you hold it away from you, rendering it powerless. Of course, you've assumed that spraying is the skunk's only power, and given your luck so far tonight you should have known that was wrong.
The skunk swings a paw with claws you didn't even know it had at you, and you instinctively let go of it. Well, you try to. Instead, when you pull your arms away the skunk simply rips into two smaller pieces of latex, each stuck to your fingers and, from what you can tell, slowly melting up your arms.
Your hands being consumed, you can only watch as the latex rolls over them and encases them in smooth, shiny black gloves, gloves that match every contour of your hands, with the excess latex gathering in thick cuffs at your wrists. As soon as it's finished you try desperately to tear the gloves off, but the gloves themselves are apparently skintight and the cuffs refuse to give way. All you do is cause them to squeak as you rub them together in your attempts to get them off.
While the gloves are acting like normal ones at this point (aside from being completely stuck to you), they have you worried. You haven't forgotten that they're both a part of a very malicious being, and with that being's spray alone being capable of completely transforming your feet you shudder to think of the horrors it could unleash on your hands with direct contact.
