Looking at the shoe, you think: if it does that to a piece of clothes, what would it do with direct contact to human flesh? Would it make costume parts that were skintight? Only one way to find out...
For starters, you decide to just dip a finger in, specifically the pinkie on your left hand. After all, it's probably the least useful one you have. Holding it out with the rest of your hand in a fist, you slowly submerge it into the stuff. As it penetrates the surface, you can feel the thick, syruppy liquid moving out of the way, just as any normal liquid would. You don't feel any sticking or clinging or shifting or anything. In fact, it's just acting like a regular old puddle of latex slime (if you can call latex slime "regular"). Maybe it only works on clothing, or maybe it only works once. Either way, you're a little disappointed that it doesn't seem to be doing anything, so you just pull your finger out.
As it's removed from the ooze, you're surprised to see some of the liquid stay on it. That's strange, you didn't feel it sticking to you. Bringing your finger close to your face, you examine it. The clump of latex is fairly round. Is it maybe part of a glove? No, the shape is all wrong. But what else-
"POP!"
As if to answer your question, the bubble explodes. It (rather surprisingly) misses your hand with its splatter and even leaves your pinkie untouched, but your nose and mouth aren't nearly so lucky and get covered in the stuff.
