Collins grunted out of frustration, and noticed one of his squad mates was holding a potable radio. The soldier was whispering into it and Collins caught the words "air strike".
"Christ... they're seriously going too..." Collins muttered, and the transformation center went up in a fireball before he could finish his sentence.
A lone U.S. air force stealth bomber had dropped it's explosive payload right onto the radio signal, and nothing was left of the transformation center. The pilot's orders had been very clear... leave no survivors even if civilians were in the target area.
"I'm going to need to get really drunk to shake off this memory." The pilot, Sergeant William De'Mont, muttered.
