Creepy Music Fills The Air: "We'll Meet Again..."

added 16 years ago AP BM TG O

Jeremy's relief at getting rid of Cthulhu unscathed is short lived. The book sparks and crackles in the fire, but resists burning. Perhaps it's made of flame retardant material? But there are more important things to worry about. A faint melody rises in the air from no place in particular, and as the tune becomes louder Jeremy can recognize the words, "We'll meet again," sings an unseen voice, "Don't know where, don't know when..."

It's from the Second World War, and the end of the movie
"Dr. Strangelove: Or How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bomb". It was the song playing as the doomsday device and atomic bombs detonated all over the world like giant dandelions shaped like mushrooms of fire.

Jeremy moved to flee, but finds that something has immobilized Jeremy. The clothing suddenly seems too small, and the sound of ripping fabric reveals that this is no illusion. Thick coarse hair covers Jeremy's face and body as the mass of that body more than doubles. Now standing over 6 feet tall, and incredibly hairy and muscled, Jeremy gasps as the immobilization spell breaks. Jeremy topples on to the floor since the center of gravity has risen. Unsteady legs are balanced by a burly hand on the fireplace mantle. Jeremy's hand feels the whiskers covering Jeremy's face.

"I feel ancient," Jeremy says in a deep voice, as joints pop and crack. The coarse black hairs are now mixed with grey hairs. Covered in salt-n-pepper hair, Jeremy seems to have leapt over the hill and avoided all the intervening years in the blink of an eye. "I guess Cthulu didn't let me off the hook scot-free for disturbing him."

She stared into the fire, and then reached and snatched the book from the flames, "Maybe there's a reversal spell in here?" She adjusted her crotch now swollen with a massive manhood. She was curious, but decided she could be curious after she found out how to reverse it. Some of those spells were tied to the inverse square law. As time progresses, the spell becomes geometrically harder to reverse until it is totally impossible to break. She drops the book on the floor singing the carpet as she licks her burnt finger tips.

The music fades, and a distinct chuckle can be heard rumbling like thunder in the distance.

Jeremy mutters, "Damn, Cthulhu."

"Too late," says Cthulhu's voice rising from the ashes of the fire as the flames vanish leaving only embers, "Already damned."

The book on the floor is transformed into charcoal. It retains the shape of a book complete with binding and pages, but is charred black. Jeremy swiftly bends down to protect the book from draughts hoping to save the book. Her clothing rips and she ends up bare chested covering the book just in time to prevent the blast of cold damp air coming out of the fireplace from scattering the ashen sheets.

Jeremy closes her eyes, and remembers. She makes a hand sign clumsily in the air over the damaged book, "Reconstitue!" she commands.

The air tingles with magic, and a voice not Cthulhu's murmurs in the shadows, "Close enough! Kazaam!"

The ashes begin to reverse as blue cold flames dance over the surface leaving unburnt leather binding and paper in its wake. The book is restored it would appear. Gently, Jeremy opens the book...
