As he looked in the mirror, he couldn't believe his eyes he was wearing a hard hat! He looked down at himself and saw that wasn't the only change, his clean clothes hard been replaced by filthy labourer's clothes. He was wearing a grubby grey T-shirt, filthy combat trousers, a big and dirty pair of coveralls, stinking of sweat and building sites and a pair of big heavy rigger boots covered in mud an cement. He looked like a labourer on a construction site. He started to get stramge new ideas into his head; he now knew he worked on a site just down the road and that's where he needed to be.
He left the offices he was in and stomped down the road in his big boots. he felt good, for the first time in ages he felt he was doing the job he was supposed to do. He looked good as a labourer and when he got to the site everyone knew him as a workman. He started working mixing cement and carrying up to the brickies. He felt like he'd been doing this all his life.
